Suffocating defense and a clutch passing game sparked by Marvin Harrison Jr. are two of the five things. PUSH PENN STATE OVER TO OHIO STAT
With a 20-12 victory over Penn State on Saturday in Ohio Stadium, Ohio State extended its winning streak to seven games and moved to 7-0 overall.
For the first 59 minutes of the game, Jim Knowles' defense improved, preventing Penn State from entering the end zone. The Penn State offensive line, which was outmatched, and first-year starter Drew Allar were simply crushed by the Silver Bullets, who limited them to 240 total yards, 73 of which came on a desperate touchdown drive as Ohio State was willing to run down the clock to seal the victory.

While Kyle McCord, Ohio State's own first-year starting quarterback, occasionally struggled with accuracy, finding the open man, and pocket presence, he made some big-time throws in the end, finishing with 286 passing yards and a score. The Buckeyes were once again unable to run the ball consistently.
With Michigan's rout of Michigan State and Ohio State's victory over a top-10 opponent, the Buckeyes and Wolverines are the only unbeaten teams in the Big Ten East.

GOT TO QUIT IT
Marvin Harrison Jr., the lone unicorn on the field, helped Ohio State much in a game where both teams had strong defenses, failed to run the ball, and relied on first-year starting quarterbacks.
Harrison was even better yesterday as he recorded 11 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown, with nine of those 11 grabs moving the chains or finding the end zone. A year ago, Harrison set career highs with 10 receptions, all of which went for first downs, for 185 yards in a victory over the Nittany Lions. Yesterday, Harrison was even better.
Harrison delivered the finishing blow when he pulled in a pass on third-and-11 with just over four minutes remaining as Ohio State held a 13-6 lead. With 4:07 remaining in the game's regular season, yoss sprinted for the sidelines before cutting upfield for an 18-yard score.
